Concert Review
Denver, CO: The biggest thing to come out of Ireland arrived in Denver Saturday night and the band opened the evening with "The Miracle (of Joey Ramone)” Going band to back to is debut album, Boy, which was soon followed by its first single, "I Will Follow," rekindling memories of a time of yesterday. The band has a wide collection of music, which allows them to skip the opening act and maintain a two-hour, show with out missing a beat and giving fans just enough to come back for more. Anthems like "Until the End of the World" and "Vertigo” blasting down on fans with passion and Bono sounds better than ever before.
The LED screens allow fans to feel closer and connected to the band. Full of animation and some edgy content that sparked some thought and for a few minutes conversation that allowed some critics the opportunity to bitch about the band beliefs and the fact that the band clearly wants everyone to know how they feel.
U2 has never made any apologies for their beliefs or for their wiliness to speak up. Fans understand it is much more than music, it’s a concerned awareness of the world around them and for most it’s a following that can be supported in today world.
