U2 "Invisible Lyrics

Invisible

Its like the room just cleared of smoked
I didn’t even want the heart you broke
It’s your to keep, you just might need one

I finally found my real name
I won’t be me when you see me again
No, I won’t be my father’s son

I’m more than you know
I’m more than you see here
I’m more than you let me be
I’m more than you know
A body and a soul
You don’t see me but you will
I am not invisible

I don’t dream not as such
I don’t even think about you that much
Unless I start to think at all

Out of (ALL) those frozen days
And your frozen ways

They melt away your face like snow

I’m more than you know
I’m more than you see here
I’m more than you let me be
I’m more than you know
A body and a soul
You don’t see me but you will
I am not invisible
I am here

There is no them
There is no them
There’s Only us
There’s Only us
There is no them
There is no them
Only us
There’s only us

There is no them
There is no them
There’s only you
There’s only me

There is no them

U2 Wants to be Relevant in 2014

U2RED.jpg

Should U2 call a day after this next album ? Staying relevant has already been a center point for Bono and the boys. Clearly today's Superbowl release embarks the boys on a new journey with new direction from Guy  Oseary and Live Nation.

“U2′s been on the verge of irrelevance for 20 years. We’ve dodged and we’ve dived and made some great work along the way and occasional faux pas, but this moment where we’re at, to me, feels really close to the edge of irrelevance.” Haunting words from Bono during an interview that we can be sure the marketing machines at Live Nation never wanted to see published.

Should they quit ? 360 Tour  was amazing however it was only amazing because of their 30 year discography and not with standing their current album at the time "No Line On The Horizon"  which failed to achieve the success that the boys had hoped for.

U2 debuts a song off its first album in five years--"Invisible," an anthemic, reflective look at lead singer Bono and the band leaving their native Ireland as young men.

"Invisible" is inspired by Bono's migration with the band to London as they tried to land a record deal nearly four decades ago, and the emotional consequences inherent to all hometown departures, its lyrics ("I'm more than you know") suggesting a man on the cusp of reinvention.

U2 marketing machines have been fast at work rebuilding the U2 of yesterday and bringing forth some new elements to grab the attention of this new digital single age.  Reaching across the pond to engage Hollywood the boys created "Ordinary Love" as the the entry back to the center of the music world winning an Golden Globe and scoring a Oscar nomination you can see that U2 plans to remain relevant.  Today's Super Bowl commercial can be viewed as the official start of the year of U2.

U2 owns 100% of their Masters and Copyrights

Owning the rights to your music considered one of the most important items on a bands list to complete.

Most bands end up giving them away because of the need to produce their music and fund their projects.

Bands to often find that their catalog ends up sold a couple of different times before returning to their rightful owners.

U2 is not unlike any other band from the 80’s their masters held in the hands of others has been a challenge to get back.

Paul McGuiness in a interview with Billboard outlines the move forward to new management as a opportunity for Live Nation to provide some finances for the future of U2. “The rights to U2’s music, their masters and their copyrights, have been, with difficulty and at some costs, completely retrieved.

Paul of course has equity participation in the deal and that was due to the band agreeing on selling an equity share to Paul. U2 has all the remaining rights and they now own 100% of their masters as well as their copyrights.

Live Nation has been supportive in the transaction by financing the transaction that is sure to pay dividends to the band family long after U2’s departure from the stage.

(RED), U2 and Bank of America Partner to Fight AIDS

Partnership will deliver more than $10 million to fight AIDS and launch with free download of new U2 song debuting during Super Bowl

NEW YORK, Jan. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- (RED), rock group U2 and Bank of America today announced a partnership that will generate more than $10 million to fight AIDS. Details are available at

The partnership will kick off with a commercial during the February 2 Super Bowl that will feature U2 performing a new song, "Invisible." The song will be available as a limited edition release on iTunes for free download during the game and for the following 24 hours. For every download during that timeframe, Bank of America will donate $1, up to $2 million total, to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, which provides life-saving HIV/AIDS treatment, testing and prevention services to tens of millions of people in the world's poorest countries.

(RED) has already generated more than $240 million for the Global Fund since being founded in 2006 by U2 lead singer Bono and Bobby Shriver in order to drive corporate donations to the fight against AIDS. The additional funding from Bank of America will help (RED) surpass a quarter billion dollars raised.

Bono said, "Bank of America coming on as a (RED) partner to help the Global Fund's efforts to eliminate AIDS is great news.  It's the kind of game-changing influence that will not just deliver millions of dollars but raise consciousness and keep public pressure on putting an end to this devastating pandemic which has already taken the lives of 35 million people.  And just in...the bank's commitment of $10 million has resulted in the Gates Foundation, SAP and Africa's Motsepe Family matching for a total of $22 million.  Incredible."

Key to the success of this initiative will be raising awareness among Bank of America's vast customer base and more than 240,000 employees, and providing opportunities for them to take action at this critical moment in the global effort to eradicate mother-to-child transmission of HIV by 2015. Bank of America serves one in two U.S. households with a network of approximately 5,100 retail banking offices and 16,300 ATMs, has one of the most visited websites in the world, and more than 30 million online banking users and 14 million mobile users.

Brian Moynihan, CEO, Bank of America, said, "Just as we dedicate all of our resources to serving customers and clients in the U.S. and around the world, we can bring these capabilities to (RED) and the global health community in the fight against AIDS. Most importantly, we're encouraging our customers and employees to join the fight."

(RED) funds are fighting AIDS in eight African countries – Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania and Zambia – and are used to support HIV/AIDS grants which provide treatment, testing and prevention and care services, with a focus on ending mother-to-child transmission of HIV and achieving an AIDS-free generation. Of the more than $240 million generated by (RED), 100 percent has gone directly to the Global Fund for on-the-ground services, with no overhead taken out by (RED). (RED) and its partners – from Bank of America, to Starbucks, Apple and more – are united in a global push to end mother-to-child transmission of the deadly HIV virus by 2015, in accordance with the UN Millennium Development Goals

Mark Dybul, executive director, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, said, "We'd like to thank Bank of America, (RED) and U2 for this innovative partnership to deliver much-needed funds and awareness to our fight to eliminate AIDS. This partnership will have a tremendous impact over the coming years."

Wide Reports U2 June Release

We have hear more from our sources and of course we have all reviewed the comments Bono made the other night after the Globes award.

Which we view as a great sign that U2 is starting the process to getting their next single out.

We expect to see something around Superbowl time frame. Heck that would be perfect to get the global stage release during the biggest show in the world.

Yup proves that the marketing machine behind U2 is alive and well.

Anyway just in case you missed Bono's comments:

We’re still working some things out, Bono said of the group’s thirteenth studio album, which he said was being prepped for a June release date.

The frontman also revealed that the band’s next single, “Invisible,” will be out in the coming weeks.

“It’s not what you expect,” Bono said of “Invisible.” “It’s not your typical love song.

U2 album should come in June

Exclusive Report: Roger Friedman

The new U2 album should come in June. So says Bono, to me, at the Weinstein Company party following the Golden Globes. Bono and U2 won the Globe for their song “Ordinary Love” from the movie “Mandela.” The group held court on a platform of couches, entertaining friends including Usher on Sunday night before taking off to an after party said to be at 1Oak on Sunset Boulevard.

The group had just played at Sean Penn’s Haiti fundraiser on Saturday night with a young Haitian singer named Anaelle Jean-Pierre. I sat with Bono at the Weinstein party and praised him for his passion about politics, Mandela, Africa, etc.

“We’re persistent, I’ll say that,” he replied with a rueful chuckle. “I don’t think we’re the only ones who care. I think lots of people do. They just don’t have the opportunity.”

Bono told me the group was busy finishing the new album. “We’re still working some things out,” he said. In the meantime, they will release a new single in the next few weeks. It’s called– and this is exclusive– “Invisible.” “It’s not what you expect,” Bono told me. “It’s not your typical love song.”
