Was it U2 or Sumer Nights shooting a video In Dulbin

The boys are in Dublin today recording a video for a single on the up coming album that has yet to be named.  However that might be true.

The company behind a major film production which saw the Samuel Beckett Bridge in Dublin closed for almost 24 hours on Sunday has claimed it was making a video for “an up and coming band” by the name of Summer Nights.

For much of yesterday afternoon large articulated lorries carrying lighting equipment and rigging lined the south quays - and some of the smaller roads leading to the bridge. A marquee was also erected on the bridge itself, while a significant private security presence.

Pull The Trigger video projection company has been used to working with more established acts and has some experience making music videos in Dublin. The company was heavily involved in shooting The Sweetest Thing video for U2 in Fitzwilliam Square in 1998.

Now sources at the label say the boys have not been in town. So who knows the facts. Have you spotted the boys around Dublin ? Let us know

The Spirituality of Bono is a rich compendium of the singer's most thought provoking, uplifting, and persuasive words. Bono's insights, zeal, and good humor, too, are revealed in introspective, frank, and occasionally salty language. His spirituality and humanitarianism are heartfelt and will most definitely make readers think and, if Bono has his way, act to make this world a more just and humane place to live in.

One constant of popular culture is its value of celebrities and public figures. Some icons transcend divides and appeal to all kinds of individuals for various reasons. They are leaders in their own ways, using their celebrity platforms to make a difference. Regardless of any religious or nonreligious stance, their actions and insights can highlight for us particular universally spiritual concepts.

This series of pocket-size books taps into that cultural value of celebrity and presents, in a balanced and secular fashion, words of wisdom such celebrities have spoken. Series editor Nicholas Nigro weaves together insightful quotes and gathers them by theme ("Creativity," "Passion," "Intention"), offering texts from which readers can extrapolate their own meanings and, in turn, find added inspiration to live their best day-to-day lives.

Well Well Well ! The story has leaked that the release schedule has been pretty much set. T

he boys shooting a video over the next few days. It release of a single first, followed by the album and BOOM the big tour news for 2015.

Our friends over at Concept K Design dropped a tweet last night about the whole video shoot.

We will be looking into this more today and we will update as soon as we have something to share.

"We expect a U2 album this year"

We checked in with our sources at the label and we are very please to say. Yes expect to have a album released year ! Well U2 fans we heard it and we have checked into it to be sure and our label contact states its coming !  So we await

September or November is U2 Ready ?

The Irish Examiner has reported that the boys are planning to release their 13th studio album this November, yes we said November 2014. Now while we all know that the press maybe off a day or too the Irish Examiner seems to be on track most of the time. Sources close to U2TOURFANS suggest that in fact we could be looking at a new album this year.

Apple’s iTunes Festival schedule of gigs at the Roundhouse in Camden, North London in September have you U2 on the bill which means the boys could in fact test out the new material.

Bono has not felt the magic and has been suffering from writers block and the process has been a challenge for everyone.

A source has suggested, "The U2 comeback is very much on for this year. This album has been a real struggle for them to make.

In addition, we heard that the wait would be worth it.  We all know that U2 is worth the wait we can only trust that Bono believes in U2.

New Music from Bono's House

First posted earlier this morning this recording from Bono's house.  U2 'Song For Someone' This is nothing new from the stand point of fans recording music coming out of Bono's house. Now of course we all want to know if we should consider this to be "new" music.  We reported earlier today that U2 will be delayed at at least to 2015. Now this could change however it really is not as fluid you would think. Lots of moving parts need to all line up for this to close before 2015.

U2 Fans will have to wait until 2015

Bono / U2 / U2TOURFANS 2014

Bono / U2 / U2TOURFANS 2014

What has happened to the magic?  Over the last few months, it seems that the magic has left the building. U2 expected to release a new album this year with a stadium tour in the summer and it seems that the whole thing stalled out in Dublin.  The album we like to call “Lucky 13” seems to be taking longer to finish and while some may say that’s ok because the whole album will capture the magic again.

Rumors suggest that the band was looking creative support on this project and this was the reason to push to 2015.  Remember this is a self-imposed release date nothing official was announced.

"We've always needed collaborators to challenge us," says drummer Larry Mullen. "We're slow learners. We need to be creative, on the cutting edge, challenged, and it's really hard going, it's relentless, and we're relentless, and we have a history of breaking engineers, producers. I mean, people come out of working with U2 and just go, 'I just don't know what's happened; it feels like a lifetime has passed by.' And that's just the way we work."

Bono then added: "The album won't be ready till it's ready. However, right now, people are walking a little differently -- well, they are not walking, they are running as if to a finish line. There are a couple of songs that are part of the story we have not quite finished. We know we have to spend a couple of years taking these songs around the world, so they'd better be good."

Bono’s comments suggest a world tour will follow shortly after the release of the new project. Will it be worth the wait or have we already experienced the best that U2 has to offer?  Time will tell.

New Release 11/4/14 Maybe

We spotted this earlier today and just waited for a bit before we thought about sharing it with you. Something is brewing over on U2.com.

Or it could be the that the web design department got a little ahead of their schedule. Or it could be an error. Either way its interesting to think that it could be possible that they do in fact get the album in under 2014.

If they planned for a Grammy Award 2014 they need to release the whole project before August 2014. To be able to submit for the awards season 2015.  Or they could just be thinking that heck we waited this long lets see how much longer fans will wait.  #FOREVER

P.S. The date is a Tuesday, just saying
