Next Album Comes Under Your Pillow !

Belfast Show 1 & 2 (10).jpg

New York City:  We are busy in the office today; working our calendars for our field reporters and photographers to be able to get the best crew out to most if not all of the tour cities and we got a bit of a laugh this morning with some comments from The Edge. Take a look:

During a Rolling Stones interview, The Edge was asked "Do you have any idea how the next album will be distributed? There was so much attention paid to the distribution of the last one."
Edge said: My plan is that Bono and I would sneak into everyone's house and put a CD under their pillow.

Until The End

New York:  Often fans wonder about the end, the last gasp, the final note, the massive break up and the music world there have been few major break ups.  Ever wonder how the demise started? Was it the screwing of a girlfriend, shorting the performance pay, claiming the band leader role when you could not even tie a shoe?  Well, those reasons are all true. Often bands depart ways for creative differences or at least that's what the record label promotes so as to give you the illusion that tomorrow could bring them back.

Rock and Roll's critics have for years told the fans that ROCK IS DEAD. The last gasp happened many years ago when, Mic, Dave or Jimmy blew out your ears.  Could it be true? Could we have heard the last of the greats? By now if you are still reading this rambling crap your wondering what the FUCK does this have to do with U2?

U2 has managed to stay the course. The course that riddled with pot holes, political outcries, failed loves, failed marriages and so much more yet you the fan have never heard a word of it. Nor will you so don't get your hopes up for some juicy gossipy stories about the boys. It just does not happen outside the core. No, a word was spoken. Rightfully so any crew worth its weight in gold knows the value of shutting up, keeping the laundry in the house. Just the mere idea to imply that the boys have issues like you and or we breaks the illusion of a great rock band.

The future is right around the corner, change will happen, change is good, bad and indifferent to your concerns. It's a force of nature that allows for growth and possibility.

The marketing machine has been at work, notice some U2 stories appearing around the world. It's time; you can almost feel it.  For us, at U2TOURFANS it is about the music pure and straightforward as it is. Yes, of course, we are interested in the lives of the band members, crew, and of course the groupies, however, it's the same story from town to town, country to country and by now we have heard them all.

As we told you before September is right around the corner, clear your minds, listen to some fresh, innovative tunes as we all await the arrive of something amazing. Bet you are asking why we call it AMAZING.  Well, that's easy, AMAZING because in a time when the world is in chaos it's music that brings all together and for one night we all singing as one.  It order us to continue we must remember that its music that connects us and that with music would, maybe change the world.

U2 Enthusiastic Fans and U2 Haters

There are energetic U2 fans, and enthusiastic U2 haters, and next to no in the middle.

Maybe that is by goal. From their begin, the four individuals from U2 – Bono, the Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen, Jr. – have appeared to blossom with instigating response from their group of onlookers. Whether it's the band's blunt political position or their intermittent elaborate changes, U2 would prefer not to just acquire a superficial spot on your CD rack as a biggest hits accumulation or 30-year-old record. They prompt and rouse; they draw in and irritate.

That is just fine, yet shouldn't something be said about the music? Beginning in the fading days of the '70s as punk spewed itself into new wave, U2 started as a sincere four-piece manufactured around the Edge's unmistakable guitar sound. As they built up their capacities all through the '80s, they launch into the stratosphere of populist enclosure rock before 1988′s Rattle and Hum achieved an inescapable basic kickback.

With 1991′s Achtung Baby, they turned out to be just about another band, with music assembled around their center sound however fusing additional layers of mechanical, option, move and pop.

The beginning of the new thousand years presented to All That You Can't Leave Behind, a gigantic hit that discovered a center ground between their numerous ways to deal with the studio, and 2014′s Songs of Innocence took the band back to their roots with tunes about their most punctual days – even as their driving edge conveyance system roused a crisp round of adoration them-or-scorn them clamor.

You presumably either adore U2 or can't stand them. Whatever your emotions, our rundown of U2′s collections positioned most exceedingly awful to first will either reaffirm your dislike or help remind you why you worship the band in any case. Post your comments to our Facebook page

U2 Expected at Apple Launch

The boys from Dublin are in Cupertino, California and set to be a part of Apple’s new iPhone 6 launch later today. The band will be appearing for the launch of the new phone, with the their new album being made available for streaming exclusively on the iPhone. Rumors have been circulating about U2, the Apple relationship, and the possible collaboration even to the point that a U2 spokeswoman said: “They are not releasing their album on the iPhone and they are not performing at the iPhone launch.” This turns out to be a half-truth statement and pretty much in line with a we would have expected from the marketing machine.

The New York Times, The Irish Times all have reported over night that U2 will appear during the release of the new IPhone 6.  Sources suggest that the band will appear at the launch of the iPhone 6: “In addition to performing, the band will reveal an integration with Apple’s products that is connected to its next album.”

While representatives for the band would not comment, the new album format may similar to the app release by other artists of the years.

Confirmed U2 Video Shoot

Confirmed by city council that the boys from Dublin had paid to around the bridge and the bridge closed for a U2 project that cost around 2,000 Euros per day and lets not forget the VAT charges.

The council agreed to close the bridge last Sunday, which was the worst possible time because of the rail strike.

Not a chance anyone saw the boys because of the amount of security yet that did not stop fans from hanging around to catch a view.

Now that the album is finished, we can expect to see more of the boys shooting videos possible interviews as well as kicking up the marketing machines.

September or November is U2 Ready ?

The Irish Examiner has reported that the boys are planning to release their 13th studio album this November, yes we said November 2014. Now while we all know that the press maybe off a day or too the Irish Examiner seems to be on track most of the time. Sources close to U2TOURFANS suggest that in fact we could be looking at a new album this year.

Apple’s iTunes Festival schedule of gigs at the Roundhouse in Camden, North London in September have you U2 on the bill which means the boys could in fact test out the new material.

Bono has not felt the magic and has been suffering from writers block and the process has been a challenge for everyone.

A source has suggested, "The U2 comeback is very much on for this year. This album has been a real struggle for them to make.

In addition, we heard that the wait would be worth it.  We all know that U2 is worth the wait we can only trust that Bono believes in U2.

New Album, New World Tour

"We know we have to spend a couple of years taking these songs around the world, so they'd better be good" - Bono

The machine is in full swing now ! Its clear that U2 will be heading out a world tour to support their up coming studio release. What is not clear when this whole experience will kick off.  One thing we did notice is that their new manager gets the whole new music industry. Technology infused with music.  Ya that sounds strange coming from U2. However look at it from the bigger picture Fan based websites have really connected with the audiences, the introduction of Youtube, Twitter, Tumblr and yes even Facebook have made music more accessible to fans.

However the next step would have to look at how to interconnect the band with the fans without over saturating the band with fans.  Fans are key to any successful band and they are the life blood within today's music environment yet its all about balance and control.  The U2TOURFANS experience was a creative idea early on to bring  the fans closer to the conversation. Connecting the social media platforms to create a open community that can experience the music, videos and create dialog that moves the band front and center in this digital world.
