New York: Just the title of this story is going to piss off a few people. However, we say don't shoot the messenger! We all expected that U2 would be releasing a new album by 2017 and heck it's only January so hold on for a bit. What we heard is that U2 has confirmed via a Rolling Stone article that they have put the release of their new album Songs Of Experience on hold due to the election of Donald Trump.
The Edge points out that the world is a different place from when they started the project. The boys need a bit of reflection on how this album relates to going on within the world today; as we have reported that U2 has written most of the album during the early part of 2016.
For now, we have a tour. Yes, we all would like a new album however long term U2 fans know that U2 does not release anything before its time. Let's all ease back a bit and let the boys breathe for a bit.
